My name is Paul Egan and I'm one of the few Microsoft Certified Masters(MCM) in SQL Server 2008.

I am a freelance SQL Server professional based in the Manchester area in the UK and I work in all areas of SQL Server.

I've been using Microsoft SQL Server since 1998 and became a Microsoft certified professional in 2006 and hold MCDBA 2000, MCITP 2005 (administrator), MCITP 2008 (administrator and developer).

I have built data warehouses in SQL Server 2012, performed SQL Server migrations from SQL Server 2000 and 2005 to SQL Server 2008 R2, designed and built disaster recovery solutions.

I also enjoy development work and have designed and built a distributed service broker application using certificate authentication and custom .Net assemblies in C# inside SQL Server.

I am keen on scripting and regularly use Powershell for my automation and administration tasks.

I actively work with SSDT and SSIS making use of Visual Studio online for builds a work item tracking.

I have done and still actively do SSRS and C# development work.

I am an organiser of the Manchester SQL Server User group and SQLSaturday Manchester
